Weekend Splash!

My parents came to La Grande to meet their great grandson, Rasean for the first time. We were in La Grande for Dallas' swim meet. So we were able to all get together. We had great fun. Here's a picture of my mom, Amy and the girls. So cute!

Papa wanted a picture with Amy and the kids. Rasean was already on the ground so everyone just joined him.

This is my favorite of Amy, Dallas, and Emma
Dallas got 6 medals for 1st and 2nd place in numerous events, and one ribbon for 5th place in the Butterfly. Here is Dallas with her coach Sally.

At the swim meet I rounded up all the 8 & under girls on the team for a photo. From left to right are Eva, Dallas, Hannah, and Carson.

Below is a video of Dallas' last race, which was the 25 freestyle. She is the one closest to the right. She won her race doing it in 22 seconds. She also won the 100 freestyle finishing in 1:48. Good job Dallas!

Baker's Big Bike Race!

Today was a big bike race in Baker. Before the adults raced, the kids got to have their races. Emma isn't wanting to ride her bike now that we took the training wheels off, so she decided she would ride her scooter instead. This video is of her race. It's so cute! I told Emma she was the fastest scooter rider I ever saw, and if the race would have been with scooters she would have won. Her answer was....."I know that mom!"

June 13th 2008

After a week of Vacation Bible School was over we had our friends Roger and Sherrill along with their kids and Grandkids over for a BBQ and hot tubbing for the kids. I'm not sure we could have gotten too many more kids in our little hot tub, but they had a fun time I'm sure of that.

Here's Sherrill, Roger, and Leslie. Sherrill is holding Griffin who was born a couple weeks after Rasean.

Amy and Rasean came over too, while Jebron and Isaiah were in California.

While their kids were visiting in Baker, Dallas and Emma met them at the Little Pig for a pottery painting party. The girl's both painted a plate and cup each. Dallas' art work is quite modern and abstract.

While Emma's theme was fruits and baby peas. Once she got onto painting watermelon seeds she couldn't stop herself. They are quite the budding artists and had a wonderful time with their friends.

The New Camera

Well we had to break down and buy a camera. We decided on a compact digital instead of a SLR mainly because of the size difference. I got a Canon Powershot SD890 with 10 mega pixels. It has many more features I won't bore you with. The following pictures a my first attempts. The last one cracks me up. Enjoy

Tri-City Swim Meet

This was the logo from the swim meet. The girls thought it was so cute.

Dallas finishing the 50m backstroke.
Dallas' time was 1:04. Not bad!

Emma Enjoying camping out in the park.
Daphne took these pictures since my camera died.

Emma snatching some Zs on the bleachers. We had a late night the evening before.

Last Day of School!

The kids got to go to Boise on a field trip for the last day. Dallas and Emma's friend Alyssa rode with us in our care along with Auntie Amy. They went to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, the Zoo, and the Discovery Center.

Here the kids are watching how the Krispy Kreme doughnuts are made.

Aren't those some cute faces!

Some hungry snackers getting their doughnuts.

Amy and the girls in front of the Discovery Center.

Auntie Amy helped Emma ride the pullie chair.

Emma and her friends shopping in the store.

Judah rode a bike that made the skeleton move at the same time.

It was such a fun day!
